Watertown PD participating in national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown Police Department is taking part in a national impaired driving campaign that begins today.

It’s called, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”

KWAT News talked with Corporal Austin Nelson of the Watertown P-D…..

Nelson says some of the people’s he’s arrested are multiple DUI offenders, and have taken extreme measures to try and get home while intoxicated….

So far this year, Watertown police have made 171 drunken driving arrests.

Last year’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign netted 18 drunken driving arrests.
