Watertown Park and Rec facilities looking at phased in re-opening (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.—Watertown’s park and recreation facilities will slowly open in phases over the coming days and weeks.

Park and Rec Superintendent Terry Kelly says the Phase One re-opening has already started….

Phase Two re-opening will involve two facilities, the Prairie Lakes Wellness Center and Bramble Park Zoo. Kelly says both could see soft openings as early as May 5th.

He commented on what people can expect at the wellness center…..

As for the zoo….

The Phase Three facilities will be the last to re-open, and Kelly says that won’t happen until CDC guidelines can be met, or no longer need to be adhered to….

Kelly says the Park and Rec’s Facilities Committee will be meeting weekly to analyze and discuss facility openings.
