WATERTOWN, S.D.—Watertown’s COVID-19 Task Force has announced a change for Thursday’s mass vaccination event at the Codington County Extension Complex.

The event is being opened up to allow walk-ins, no pre-registration required, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System spokeswoman Jennifer Bender says as of Tuesday, there were about 1,000 spots open to receive the Moderna vaccine Thursday, and it’s available to anyone 18 years and older.

Everyone who receives their first vaccine tomorrow will automatically be signed up to get their second dose on May 6th.
