WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Watertown man was sentenced to six years in the State Penitentiary in a child pornography case today.

Twenty five year-old Jeremy Bunn had earlier pleaded guilty to multiple felony counts of Possession or Manufacture of Child Pornography.

An investigation against Bunn began last year when he took an Apple iPhone to a business for repair work on it.

The store owner shot a video on the cellphone to ensure it was working properly, but when the owner went to delete that video, he found child pornography on the phone and contacted authorities.

Bunn was eventually tracked down and arrested in Huron.

During sentencing before Judge Carmen Means today, Deputy State’s Attorney Alison Bakken argued that, “child porn is one of societies greatest evils. The children in those images are re-victimized every time someone like the defendant views them.”
