Watertown man arrested for DUI following two vehicle crash

WATERTOWN. S.D.–A Watertown man was arrested for drunken driving following a two vehicle crash in the city on Saturday night.

Police say 68 year-old Glenn Marotz crashed his Ford Explorer into a Chrysler Town and Country van at the intersection of Fourth Street Northeast and First Avenue at 7:20 p.m.

The van was driven by 39 year-old Jody Johnson of Watertown.

Johnson was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Marotz was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Yield.

Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Damage to Johnson’s van was estimated at $5,000.

Traffic as diverted for approximately 40 minutes while the crash scene was cleared.
