WATERTOWN, S.D.–What began as a call for a missing juvenile ended with the arrest of a Watertown man for assault and false imprisonment.
Codington County Chief Deputy Sheriff Brent Solum says officers were dispatched to the Florence area just after 3:00 a.m. Sunday on a report of a juvenile male who’d left a residence and was walking in an unknown direction.
Deputies made contact with the boy’s parents, and through their investigation, discovered a domestic assault had taken place between the mother and the father, 44 year-old Todd Lyons (pictured).
Codington County Search and Rescue was called to assist, and located the missing boy in Wallace.
Lyons was arrested for Aggravated Assault Domestic and False Imprisonment, and was booked into jail on a $5,000 cash only bond.
