Watertown holding mass COVID-19 vaccination event April 8th for those 16 and older

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Starting next week all South Dakotans ages 16 and older are eligible to receive a COVID vaccine. Next week’s mass vaccination event coordinated for the Watertown region will be Thursday, April 8th at the Codington County Extension Complex.

The COVID vaccine available will be 1,300 doses of Moderna. The minimum age to receive the Moderna vaccine is 18.

Everyone who signs up for the April 8th event will automatically be signed up to receive their second dose on Thursday, May 6th.

An appointment is required to receive a vaccine. Registration will open on Friday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. at www.prairielakes.com/covidvaccine.
