Watertown holding COVID-19 vaccine event today for first and second doses

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown holds another COVID-19 vaccine event today.

This one, like the others, will be held at the Codington County Extension Complex.

But this one, unlike the others, will feature both first and second doses.

Anyone 18 and older who has not been vaccinated yet, can get their first dose of the Moderna vaccine between 4 and 8 p.m. today. Walk-ins are welcome. Those people will then automatically be signed up to get their second dose on May 20th.

There is no charge for the vaccine.

Others who received their first dose on March 25th will be showing up for their their second dose today.

More than 54 percent of South Dakotans have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Forty percent are finished with the process.
