Watertown hiring consultant to help with planning of new ice arena construction  (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D. –The Watertown CIty Council has voted to hire a consultant to help the city work on the front end of planning for a new ice arena.

The council voted unanimously to hire the Tegra Group of St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

They’re the same consultants that helped Watertown with planning for the Prairie Lakes Wellness Center.

Ice Arena Committee Chairman Ried Holien talked more about what the Tegra Group will do for Watertown…

Tegra’s fees for their initial consulting work are not to exceed $10,000.

The ice arena is proposed to be built north of Hobby Lobby along Willow Creek Drive.

The four players in this project are landowner J & J Earthworks of Milbank, contractor Craig Development LLC, the Watertown Development Company and the city.
