WATERTOWN, S.D.–Personnel with Watertown Fire Rescue were able to free a man pinned in a piece of construction equipment Tuesday.

Fire Chief Don Rowland says they were called to a location on Sioux Conifer Road where a man was pinned in the cab of a skid steer loader.

The attachment on the loader the man had been using became unattached, and fell into the cab.

Crews used the, “jaws of life” extrication tool, chains and hoisting equipment to safely lift the attachment out of the cab and free the man.

He was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital with Non life-threatening injuries.

His name was not released.
