Watertown Fire Rescue responds to two separate vehicle accidents Wednesday

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Fire Rescue responded to two separate vehicle accidents on Wednesday near the intersection of highway 212 and 81.
The first accident happened just before 8 a.m. A vehicle traveling eastbound spun out, due to icy road conditions, and hit a westbound pickup pulling a livestock trailer. One person was transported to Prairie Lakes Healthcare with undisclosed injuries. Significant damage was reported to both the vehicle and livestock trailer. Watertown Fire Rescue remained on the scene for approximately 25 minutes.
The second accident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. Two vehicles collided causing front-end damage to both vehicles. Airbags did deploy and the fire department was called to clean up a fluid spill from one of the vehicles. There were no injuries reported. Watertown Fire Rescue was on the scene for approximately 20 minutes
