Watertown Fire Rescue dispatched to weekend house fire

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Fire Rescue was called out to a weekend house fire.
The call came at 7:15 Saturday night to a home at 8 Fourth Avenue Northwest.
Crews arrived to find visible smoke inside the home.
They were told by the homeowner that there were no people in the home, but a cat and dog were still inside.
They quickly knocked down the fire, which may have been electrical in nature.
One pet was lost in the fire.
Fire crews were on the scene for about two hours.
