Watertown Fire Rescue dispatched to exhaust unit fire at Dynamic Engineering

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Fire Rescue spent about an hour extinguishing a fire at Dynamic Engineering on 221 Cessna Street Monday afternoon.
The fire was called in at 3:45, and was in an exhaust unit.
Employees were unsuccessful in putting out the fire themselves with fire extinguishers.
Firefighters took over and were able to knock down the fire located in an exhaust venting unit that collects and filters smoke from welders.
Strong north winds forced heavy smoke into the middle of the building.
No one was injured.
