Watertown Fire Rescue called out to hot tub fire

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Fire Rescue was called to a structure fire over the weekend.
The fire at 45939 U.S. Highway 212 was called in at 4:15 Saturday morning.
Fire crews arrived to find the fire had started in an outdoor hot tub and then spread to the exterior of the home.
Smoke detectors played a role in alerting the home occupants to the fire, allowing them to escape safely.
Fire crews were on the scene for nearly an hour, extinguishing the fire and making sure there was no further extension into the house.
