WATERTOWN,  S.D.–Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to a grass fire at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon.

 

It happened six miles south of Watertown.

 

When crews got there, they found fire burning in a ditch and in some cattails in a slough next to the ditch.

 

They got the fire extinguished, and were on the scene for about 20 minutes.

 

The total area that burned was less than one acre in size.
