Watertown earns split with West Fargo

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Post 17 would come away with a split against West Fargo Thursday night at Watertown Stadium. 

Game one would go the way of West Fargo with an 11-0 victory called in the sixth inning due to the 10 run rule.  West Fargo’s Brayden Jacobson was lights out on the mound, throwing 11 strikeouts in five innings of work.  Watertown would not drop down a hit in the game.  

Post 17 would come away with a 10-6 win in game two of the night.  Breadon Zaug would have a big night putting down one run on two hits and four RBI’s.  Kale Stevenson would have a two-run shot in the game.  Jerod Cyrus threw 104 pitches in five innings of work, fanning six while issuing five walks.  Dawson Schmidt would finish the game throwing 22 pitches in relief. 

Watertown (8-7) will travel to Fargo North for two games Saturday at 1 and 3 p.m.
