Watertown Development Company delivers quarterly update to City Council (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council heard a quarterly report from the Watertown Development Company (WDC) Monday night.

Director of Business Development, Michelle Kakacek (pictured), says downtown development has been, and continues to be, a priority for the WDC…

Kakacek also touched on the WDC’s involvement in workforce development…

Kakacek was asked about disaster grants for Watertown businesses that were awarded as they struggled to keep their doors open on the front end of the COVID-19 pandemic…

Kakacek told the council there’s been interest from a few local companies looking at available land in the Pheasant Ridge Industrial Park. She says it’s a, “great location that is shovel-ready.”
