Watertown city employees receiving pay raises, supplemental pay in 2021  (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Employees for the city of Watertown will be getting a pay raise and supplemental pay this year.

On Monday night, the city council approved the supplmental pay, which amounts to a one-time payment of $1,200 for full-time employees, and $800 for part-timers.

The money comes from the Federal Government’s CARES Act funding.

The mayor’s salary will be cut by more than 50-percent when that job goes part-time in July. It’ll go from more than $80,000 a year to $36,000.
