WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council meets at 4:30 Monday to consider the employment contract of Amanda Mack (pictured).

Last month, the council chose her from among four finalists to become Watertown’s first-ever city manager.

Under the terms of the contract, Mack’s employment would begin June 21st at a starting annual salary of $142,000. Additionally, she would receive a $3,000 relocation allowance, half of which would be paid for by the Watertown Development Company.

She’d also receive immediate credit for 80 hours of vacation time, and a $500 annual reimbursement to cover the cost of membership to any local service clubs.

The Whiting, Iowa native is the current city manager in Spencer, Iowa. She’s also held similar positions in Canton and Worthing, South Dakota.
