Watertown City Council approves lease agreement with SkyWest Airlines (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council approved a lease agreement with SkyWest Airlines for the space they occupy at Watertown Regional Airport.

City Attorney Matt Roby laid out the details of the agreement….

The lease will run past the date when the new airport terminal opens. Roby says the lease agreement will roll over to the new terminal..

SkyWest Airlines operates United Express jet service from Watertown to Denver and Chicago. 

Roby says the amount the city is charging SkyWest for the leased space is identical to the amount charged to Watertown’s other commercial airline, Denver Air Connection.
