WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council has amended an ordinance that will now allow the council to siphon money out of the Capital Improvement Budget once annually, and transfer that money into the general fund.
The ordinance change got mixed reviews from the council.
Former Councilman Colin Paulsen voted “no”….
Former Councilman Glen Vilhauer reluctantly voted “yes”…
The ordinance change was approved on a 5-2 vote. Councilman Dan Schutte joined Paulsen in voting “no.”
