WATERTOWN, S.D.–Getting a cab ride in Watertown just got harder.

Lake City Cab announced today that it has temporarily closed its operations as positive cases of the novel coronavirus increase in South Dakota and Codington County.

Codington County cases as of Monday are at five. The statewide total is 101.

The company notified KWAT News in an email today. It can be found below:

In light of the news that Codington County cases are now at five, we have made the tough decision to close temporarily. We feel that for the safety of our employees and for the community this would be in everybody’s best interests. We would like to let everyone know that we will definitely reopen when the bars and restaurants are operating again.

Stay safe everyone.
