Watertown Arrows win state football title!

VERMILLION, S.D.–The Watertown Arrows have won a state football title.
The Arrows defense stopped a two point conversion attempt by Pierre in the final minute of the game to hang on for a 14-13 win.
It ended Pierre’s run of seven straight Class 11AA football championships.
Arrows running back Marcus Fossum was named the Joe Robbie MVP. He rushed for 82 yards and caught a touchdown pass from Treyton Himmerich that gave Watertown an early 7-0 lead.
Watertown’s other touchdown came on a 24 yard run from Spencer Wientjes, breaking a 7-7 tie with just under four minutes remaining in the game.
The Arrows finished the season with a record of 10-2.
