WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Athletic Department has announced four new coaching hires for the upcoming season.

Kelli Brinka will anchor the inaugural season of Arrow softball next spring. Brinka brings several years of experience in both coaching and playing fastpitch softball at all levels.

Emily Trupe served as an assistant coach under Aaron Swanson this past season and will now step into the head role for the girl’s soccer program. Arrow girls soccer wrapped 2021 with a record of 8-8.

Much like Trupe, Jesse Hauck served as an assistant under Justin Harte in 2021 and now takes over the head coaching role for the boy’s soccer program. Arrow boys soccer finished last year with a record of 2-10-3.

Tom Mattingly will take over the girl’s golf program next season. Mattingly has coached in various roles in the Watertown Athletic Department including assistant positions in football and boys basketball this past season. Mattingly will take over for Zach Wevik who has taken an administrative position at the Bon Homme School District next year.
