WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown will be holding its annual Citywide Spring Cleanup Week next week, June 1st through the 5th.

The event was initially postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

People are being asked to set their items out on the boulevard this weekend.

Items should be sorted into three piles—one for recyclable materials that could include old appliances.

Another pile will be for electronic waste, things like computer monitors, laptops, TV’s and keyboards.

The third pile is a garbage pile for items like carpet, furniture and mattresses.

There are some items that won’t be picked up, such as motor oil, batteries, tires and clothing.

More information can be found on the city’s website www.watertownsd.us.
