WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown Airport Board meets at noon today to consider a proposal for a restaurant to operate in the new terminal that’s being built.

Dempsey’s owner Sean Dempsey has submitted a proposal to operate “Danger Von Dempsey’s Slice House” in the terminal.

The proposal indicates the restaurant would be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The featured item would be pizza sold by the slice. The menu would also feature salads and some fried items like cheese balls and chicken strips. They’d also sell South Dakota craft beer and soda.

If the airport board approves the proposal, it would be sent to the city council for final consideration.

The new airport terminal will open in early 2022.
