WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council heard the first reading of a revised ordinance Monday night that would ban the practice of feeding wild animals within the city limits.

Watertown City Attorney Matt Roby says the recommendation came from an official with the Game, Fish and Parks Department at an Animal Control Board meeting several months ago…

Enforcement would be discretionary….

The council will hear a second reading of the revised ordinance and vote on the changes at an upcoming meeting.
