Wadsworth and Kelly lead Class A All-State selections

(GoWatertown.net) — Hamlin’s Kami Wadsworth leads the 2022 Girls Class A All-State first-team selections as chosen by the South Dakota High School Basketball Coaches Association. The 5’10” junior averaged 21.6 points and grabbed 6.1 rebounds per contest. The Charger also shot 54.3 percent from the field and 80 percent from the line leading her team to a Class A runner-up this year.
Florence/Henry sophomore Caylin Kelly was named to the Class A second-team. Kelly averaged a double-double per contest, 17 points, and 10.5 boards. The 511” forward and center had 40 blocks and 86 steals this season for the Falcons.
Mwenentanda named AA Player of the Year
In Class AA, Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda has been named to the 2022 Girls Class AA All-State first-team. Mwenentanda, a 6’2” senior forward from Sioux Falls Washington was also named Class A Player of the Year leading the Warriors to a Class AA consolation championship this season.
