VOLLEYBALL: Watertown 3-0 at day one of East/West Classic

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Arrow volleyball would go 3-0 on day one of the East/West Volleyball Classic held at the Watertown Civic Arena.

Watertown would defeat Douglas for the second time this season 3-0 in match one of Friday.  Set scores of 25-18, 17-25, 25-6.  Kendall Paulson would have two aces, six kills and 12 digs.  Emily Tisher had seven kills, Eve Hauger and Emma Hoch each with six.  Maddie Rohde had 10 digs.

Game two of Friday would see the Arrows down Spearfish 2-0 in a back and forth game.  Set scores 25-15, 29-27.  Paulson again would lead the way with 12 kills, 4 digs and one block.  Karli Hanten had 18 assists and 2 aces at the serving line.

Watertown would roll Rapid City Central in the final game of Friday 2-0.  Set scores of 25-9, 25-23. Karli Hanten would have five aces at the serving line; Kendall  Paulson with four aces, 7 kills and four digs, Kayla Volken four aces, and four digs, Maddie Rohde would lead the digs collum with 16.

Watertown (8-9) will face Rapid City Stevens at 9 a.m. and Sturgis at 11 a.m. Saturday at the final day of the East/West Classic.  Brent Nathaniel will have coverage on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net/Arrows.
