Volleyball topped by North Dakota State

FARGO, N.D. (GoJacks.com) — The South Dakota State women’s volleyball team was edged by North Dakota State, 3-1 (23-25, 14-25, 25-21, 19-25), on Friday evening at Benston Bunker Fieldhouse in Fargo, N.D.
The Jackrabbits fell to 5-16 overall and 2-7 in Summit League matches, while North Dakota State improved to 10-11, 5-4 Summit League.
Crystal Burk led the way for the Jacks with her sixth double-double of the season, with 15 digs and a new career-best 20 kills. The sophomore also hit a team-best .277 on the match. Makenzie Hennen also registered a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs. Maddie Fay recorded a season-high 34 assists, while Carly Wedel added six.
Defensively, Tatum Pickar had 14 digs, while Tori Thompson and Anna Nerad each had five blocks.
South Dakota State travels to take on Western Illinois on Sunday at 1 p.m.
