North Dakota deputy sheriff injured in crash on Interstate 29

WAHPETON, N.D. – A Richland County patrol car was hit on Interstate 29 south of Wahpeton on Tuesday night, injuring the deputy inside.
A sheriff’s deputy was conducting a traffic stop on the southbound side of the road when a pickup failed to move over and hit the patrol vehicle. The deputy had to be extricated from her patrol car and was transported to Fargo for medical treatment. She suffered a broken arm.
I-29 was shut down for a short period of time and the incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
