SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Another poor shooting night from the field doomed the Watertown Arrow boys basketball team Friday night as they were defeated by number two in Class A Sioux Falls Christian 67-56.
Sioux Falls Christian shot 64 percent from the field compared to Watertown’s 35 percent. The Arrows have now lost four in a row.
Three Arrows would score in double figures lead by Dawson Schmidt with 22 points, going five of six from the line and stealing the ball five times. Drew Norberg would contribute 17 points and grab six boards. Kale Stevenson would add 13 and go three of seven from three-point land.
Noah VanDonkergoed’s double-double would lead the Knights, 32 points and 12 boards. VanDonkergoed would go 15 of 18 from the filed.
Watertown (2-4) comes back home to face Brandon Valley on January 14th. Brent Nathaniel will have coverage on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net/Arrows.
