UPDATE: Watertown woman pleads not guilty to First Degree Attempted Murder

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Watertown woman has pleaded not guilty to charges of trying to kill her husband.

Sixty five year-old Sherri Tormanen is charged with First Degree Attempted Murder and three other counts for injuring her husband Randy Tormanen on the night of August 4th.

Police were called to the 10-block of Third Street Southwest in Watertown on a call of a gunshot wound.

They arrived to find the victim suffering injuries to his face.

Sherri Tormanen pleaded not guilty to all four counts during a court appearance Wednesday.

She’s being held in the Codington County Detention Center on $100,000 cash bond.

Tormanen is scheduled to have a status hearing on September 15th, and has a trial date of September 23rd.
