UPDATE: Watertown voters will decide Home Rule Charter amendment on June 15th (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–When Watertown voters go to the polls in mid-June to elect a mayor and city councilmembers, they’ll also vote on an amendment to the Home Rule Charter.
At a special meeting Wednesday, the city council approved a second reading of an ordinance that, if approved by voters, would push back the timeline by which a budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year would need to be introduced.

The council voted unanimously to send the issue onto the June election ballot.
