UPDATE: Watertown man wanted for assault and kidnapping turns himself in

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Watertown man wanted for kidnapping and assault has turned himself in.
Codington County Sheriff Brad Howell says 24 year-old Deven Taylor Burgher (pictured) assaulted a woman at a residence in Florence on January 26th.
Howell says after assaulting her, Burgher forced the woman into his vehicle, leaving the woman’s 18 month-old child unattended at the home.
Burgher drove the woman into the country and forced her out of the vehicle in bitterly cold temperatures. He returned a short time later to pick her up before returning to the residence.
Chief Deputy Brent Solum says Burgher turned himself in Tuesday, and will face charges that include First Degree Kidnapping, Simple Assault Domestic, False Imprisonment, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Harassing Phone Calls.
