UPDATE: Suspect in deadly car-pedestrian accident in North Dakota turns himself in

DUNSEITH, N.D. A suspect in a fatal hit and run in northern North Dakota has turned himself in and been arrested.

A seven-year-old girl died in Rolette County late Saturday afternoon.

The state patrol says an arrest warrant had been issued for Joshua Forschen. He was headed north on US Highway 281 when the girl was hit and killed. She was with other children at the time. She was struck while crossing the highway. Forschen went into the ditch and left the scene. He surrendered Monday afternoon.

He was on two felonies, hit and run resulting in death and manslaughter.
