UPDATE: SkyWest Airlines will serve Watertown through the end of June

WATERTOWN, S.D.–More news on the airline front in Watertown.

Airport Manager Todd Syhre tellls KWAT News that Denver Air Connection and its subsidiary, Key Lime Airlines, have told the U.S. Department of Transportation they want their launch date for service in Watertown to be July 1st.

Syhre says there are provisions in the Essential Air Service order that require SkyWest, doing business as United Express, to continue serving Watertown through the end of June.

Last week, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced they have awarded Watertown airline service to Denver Air Connection for the next two years under the terms of an Essential Air Service contract.

Denver Air will provide non-stop jet service to Chicago, and service to Denver, via Pierre.
