UPDATE: Second person killed in I-90 crash near Plankinton identified

PLANKINTON, S.D. — South Dakota’s Highway Patrol has now released the name of the second person who died in a July 4th fatal vehicle crash three miles west of Plankinton.
Sixty year-old Dennis Irish of Redding California, was a passenger in a car that was eastbound on Interstate 90 when it went into the south ditch and rolled. Both Irish and the other passenger, 26-year-old Wesley Noisy Hawk of Dupree, were thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. They were not wearing seat belts.
Nineteen year-old Kyanne Redwater of Pierre was the driver. She suffered serious non-life threatening injuries, was transported by ambulance to a Mitchell hospital and later airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital.
Charges are pending against her.
