Messy, sloppy weather is expected into the weekend in South Dakota….

National Weather Service forecaster Ryan Vipond says the precipitation will transition over to snow tonight, but could switch back to rain again during the day on Saturday.

That makes predicting snowfall amounts difficult….

The Watertown area is in a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 tonight, and then will be in a Winter Storm Warning from 6 tonight until noon Sunday.
