ESTELLINE, S.D.—Authorities have identified the two men involved in a fatal crash in Hamlin County last week.

Fifty two year-old Scott A. Thompson of Estelline died when the Utility Terrain Vehicle he was driving was struck by a semi truck attempting to pass him.

Thompson was thrown from the UTV during the collision. He was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown where he died.

It happened Thursday afternoon on 465th Avenue, a half mile north of Estelline.

A Celebration of Life for Thompson will be held Wednesday at 10: 00 a.m. at the Estelline school gymnasium.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the school.

The semi was driven by 79 year-old Levi Tschetter of Castlewood. He was not injured.
