UPDATE: Minnehaha County woman becomes South Dakota’s 11th COVID-19 case

PIERRE, S.D.–South Dakota’s COVID-19 count continues to inch higher.

The State Health Department reports today (Tuesday) that one additional South Dakotan has been confirmed to have the virus, bringing the state’s total number of positive cases to eleven.

The latest case is in a female from Minnehaha County in the 50-59 age bracket.

She becomes just the second female in South Dakota to test positive for coronavirus, and the fifth person from Minnehaha County to test positive.

Governor Noem will update South Dakota’s attack against the virus when she meets with reporters at the Sanford Center in Sioux Falls at 3:00 p.m. today.
