UPDATE: Arrests made in Watertown business burglaries

Watertown, S.D.–Watertown police have announced arrests have been made in connection with two recent business burglaries.

Detective Sergeant Trevor Barthel says two 14 year old boys from Watertown have been arrested for breaking into Smokes 4 Less and America’s Pure CBD last week.

In each case, the suspects broke through a window to gain entry, and once inside, they stole a combined $11,200 worth of merchandise.

Police say one of the boys arrested was already on probation for Grand Theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.

The second suspect was already in a juvenile diversion program for possession of alcohol by a minor.

The suspects, whose names are being withheld due to their ages, are facing charges of Third Degree Burglary, Grand Theft and Intentional Damage to Property.
