United Express making changes to Watertown flights next month (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.—Some changes in air service are coming to Watertown Regional Airport next month.

The changes are subtle though.

Airport Manager Todd Syhre tells KWAT News the airline, United Express, will remain the same, and the destinations they fly to, Chicago and Denver, won’t change either.

But the schedules will change….

Syhre explains why United Express is making these changes…

Passenger numbers out of Watertown have never been stronger than they’ve been recently, and Syhre doesn’t expect to see that change….

Denver is outperforming Chicago at this point, but that’s because that service has been around longer….

Syhre says the changes are effective March 5th.
