United Airlines plane makes emergency landing in Pierre

PIERRE, S.D.–A United Airlines flight operated by SkyWest Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing at the Pierre Regional Airport after experiencing a reported engine failure.
The plane was en-route to Denver from Fargo when the incident occurred Tuesday night.
The Pierre Airport Rescue Fire Fighters initiated their emergency operations plan and stood by as the plane landed safely at 6:15 pm and passengers were offloaded at the Pierre Regional Airport terminal.
