Two vehicles damaged in Highway 212 collision in Watertown

WATERTOWN, S.D.–There was heavy damage to two vehicles in a collision on a Highway 212 intersection in Watertown Wednesday afternoon.

 

Police Sergeant Scott Price says it happened a little before 2:00 p.m. at Highway 212 and 21st Street Southwest.

 

A Cadillac driven by 39 year-old Darren Shelton of Watertown was traveling west on Highway 212 in the inside traffic lane.

 

A Chevy Tahoe driven by 32 year-old Kristi Butler of Watertown pulled onto the highway from 21st Street when the vehicles collided.

 

Both drivers were evaluated at the scene by paramedics.

 

Butler was cited for a pair of traffic violations and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
