Two teenagers killed in car crash northwest of Veblen, South Dakota

VEBLEN, S.D.–Two teenagers have died in a single vehicle crash along the North Dakota-South Dakota border.
It was reported just after 9 o’clock Monday morning.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a car was westbound on a gravel road (101st Street) four miles north and five miles west of Veblen, when the driver lost control.
The car went into the ditch and then struck a tree.
A 17 year-old female passenger was dead at the scene. The 18 year-old male driver died while being flown to a Sioux Falls hospital.
No names have been released.
Both occupants were wearing seat belts.
