Two people killed in crash just east of Salem

SALEM, S.D. – Two people died Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash a mile east of Salem.
Names of the two people involved are not being released pending notification of family members.
The Highway Patrol says both drivers, a 22 year-old woman and a 60 year-old man, were killed when one of the vehicles crossed the centerline on South Dakota Highway 38, causing a head-on crash.
Neither person was buckled up.
