Two people injured in Sioux Falls apartment fire

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–A fire in central Sioux Falls sent two people to the hospital on Monday.

Emergency crews were called at 1:46 p.m. to the 200 block of West 14th Street.

Smoke was reportedly coming from the second floor of an apartment building.

The initial crew located and extinguished the fire on the second floor while other crews verified there were no occupants inside the building.

The fire was confined and extinguished within 5 minutes.

Two occupants were treated on scene and transported to local hospitals.
