PLANKINTON, S.D.–Two people have died in a single vehicle crash on South Dakota’s Interstate 90, three miles west of Plankinton.

It happened Sunday night around 6:30.

The Highway Patrol says a car was eastbound on the Interstate when the driver lost control, went into the ditch and rolled.

Two male passengers in the car, ages 26 and 60, were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the car. They both died at the scene.

The 19 year-old female driver suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to a Mitchell hospital and later airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital. Charges against her are pending.
