WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The 9-man and Class 11B playoffs begin tonight across South Dakota.  Watertown Radio Sports will cover two contests in Class 9AA.

Game one feature number three Deuel playing host to the Florence/Henry Falcons in a rematch from last Friday night.  A contest that the Cardinals won 36-20.  Deuel wrapped up their regular season with a 7-1 record and the number one seed in region one.  Florence/Henry will make its first playoff appearance in 11 years after finishing with a 4-4 record and earning an at-large bid.   It’s Deuel vs Florence/Henry at 7 p.m. tonight on New Country KS93 with Mitch Reed on the call.

Game two on Watertown Radio Sports will feature number four Hamlin hosting Dakota Hills. This will be a rematch from game one of the season where the Chargers came away with a 44-16 victory. Hamlin wrapped up its regular season with a 6-2 record and a number two seed in region one.  The Chargers will be without quarterback Nash Grantham and running back Jackson Noem will be a game time decision.  Coach Jeff Sheehan says his kids have elevated their game coming into the playoffs:


Dakota Hills wrapped up their regular season with a 4-4 record earning them the number three seed in region one.  Coach Zach Noffsinger says vs the Chargers this second go around, they want to start fast out of the gate:
